The purpose of this study was to develop a Classification Table of HRV values in swimmers. The subjects consisted of 100 swimmers (70 men and 30 women). They performed the HRV test for 10 min in the dorsal decubitus position. After the comparative statistical analysis, no significant differences were observed between men and women subjects. Therefore, a Classification Table was developed based on the sample. The HRV indices were classified into 5 stages: (a) well below the median; (b) below the median; (c) median (d) above the median; and (e) much above the median. The findings can be used to classify the swimmers' HRV indices in different training stages.
