摘要:Thepurpose of this study was to test the fitness effects of Kung FuGymnastics and the reproducibility of these effects. A 6-wk programof Kung Fu Gymnastics that consisted of 12 one-hour sessions held2 times·wk-1 was conducted in 2015. The fitness program had a totalof 16 attendees. The same program was conducted in 2016 with 11other attendees. Five fitness indicators were measured at pre- andpost-intervention: (a) grip strength; (b) standing long jump; (c)modified sit-and-reach; (d) side steps; and (e) sit ups. Pre-postchanges were observed in the scores for standing long jump andside steps. The scores were found to be significantly higher at postintervention than at pre-intervention. Further, none of the fitnessitems exhibited inter-group difference for the rate of pre-postchanges. The results indicate that the 6-wk Kung Fu Gymnasticsprogram, conducted under the same conditions for both Groups, resulted in similar benefits for each group in terms of lower-limbinstantaneous muscular strength and agility. These findings confirmthat the fitness effects of the intervention are reproducible.
