摘要：Born in Kuala Lumpur in 1927, Irene Lim, nee Ooi, has lived in Singapore all of her life except for the three years she spentin Penang during the Japanese Occupation. She attended Rafles Girls' School in the 1930s and early 1940s. In 1948, she mar-ried Lim Hee Seng, an accountant, raised three daughters between the 1950s and early 1970s, and led an active, social life.
