摘要:Paecilomyces cicadae(P. cicadae) is a promising alternative to Cordyceps cicadae (C. cicadae), fermentation compounds of which show good antimicrobial activity. In present study, sin-gle-factor experiments and response surface methodology (RSM) were employed to optimize the production conditions of fermentation substanc-es from P. cicadae. Antimicrobial activity of fermentationcompoundsagainstcommon pathogens was also evaluated. The results showed that the optimal fermentation conditions were as follows: inoculum size 5.0 %(v/v), fermentation temperature 28°C, fermentation time 120 h and agitation rate 160 rpm. The optimal fermentation medium was composed of glucose 20 g/l, peptone 15 g/l and KH2PO4 0.30 g/l. Fermentation com-pounds showed the good antimicrobial activity against E.coli,Staphylococcus aureus(S.aureus)and Bacillus subtilis (B.subtilis). All the obtained results built a good basis for developing the potential antimicrobials from P. cicadae.
