摘要:The main cause of heated water discharges is the use of seawater as a coolant by power plants and industrial manufacturers. Uncontrolled discharges into the ambient sea water having excess heat, have an adverse effect on the ecosystems. In this study, the near-field dilution and far-field dilution of heated discharges sourced by thermoelectric power plant was modeled. Near-field dilutions are simulated by CORMIX 2 and compared with the HYDROTAM 3Dpredictions. Following effects of different param-eters(total effluent discharge, current and wind ve-locity)on the near-field dilution ofheated discharges are investigated with different scenarios by the nu-merical models CORMIX2 and HYDROTAM 3D. Far-field dilution is analyzed by HYDROTAM 3D. Wind climate, wave climate and current pattem of Iskenderun Bay are determined also by HYDRO-TAM 3D and are used as input for the dilution simu-lations.
