摘要:Lakes and reservoirs are mercury-sensitive ecosystems and important sites that can pose risks to humans. An understanding of mercury sources, transportation, and conversion is beneficial to con- trolling mercury pollution in reservoirs and lakes. This paper provides a review of previous studies on mercury sources, transportation, and conversion, and summarizes new methods for studying mercury bio- geochemical cycles in reservoirs and lakes. The pa- per highlights the need for further research on mer- cury tracing, mercury biogeochemical cycles in cas- cade reservoirs, and mercury methylation mecha- nisms.
