摘要:Lysinibacillus fusiformis(L. fusiformis)strain TL,can utilize various substrates to generate elec-tricity in MFCs. Cyclic voltammetry was used to evaluate the electrochemical activity of strain TL. The results indicated that an established L. fusi-formis biofilm cells were responsible for the direct electron transfer to electrode during electricity production. The SEM image also proved the ability of the TL strain to colonize on the electrode sur-face. When the anolyte was replaced with non-growth medium, the MFC continued to generate electricity without noticeable performance loss. This further evidenced that the attached cells con-tributed to electricity production because suspended cells had been removed during the medium re-placement. This study proposed power generated in MFC from the direct electrocatalysis by the L. fiusi-formis strain TL biofilm.
