  • 摘要:Bottom water drive reservoir often yield high oil recovery due to the existence of the strong energy support from the aquifer. For conventional oil reser-voir, the oil recovery is usually higher than 50%. However, for the heavy oil reservoirs, the oil recov-ery is usually lower than 20%.In this study, a quali-tative analysis of the well productivity mechanisms specific for heavy oil reservoirs with bottom water is provided. The experimental physical model and nu-merical simulation model is constructed to perform the analysis. The objective is to understand the oil production and recovery mechanism difference be-tween the heavy oils and lighter oils at the presence of underlain aquifer. Therefor to identify the mecha-nism that mostly hamper the well's productivity and recovery efficiency.
