摘要:In the search to identify possible links between past technologies and teaching knowledge, this research carried out a survey of documents on mathematical instruments on the JSTOR digital and international platform, with the general objective of conducting an international survey of documents dealing with mathematical instruments, and its possible relationships as a technology of the past for the mobilization of teaching knowledge in teacher education. And, with that, the research was characterized as descriptive and exploratory, presenting quantitative and qualitative approaches, through the methods of analysis and investigation of bibliometrics and scientometrics, which were favorable in the collection and interpretation of data. And so, we observed through the studies, that given the 766 documents raised on the platform, distributed in the categories Journals, Book Chapters, Pamphlets, Books, Documents and Images, most of those that addressed mathematical instruments were viewed in books, magazines, chapters of books and images. Furthermore, we emphasize that we realized that mathematical instruments over time were considered technologies of their period. Finally, it is concluded, even if occasionally, that these instruments allow the mobilization of knowledge necessary for teaching praxis, such as knowledge of the content, curriculum, pedagogical, educational context, among others.
