  • 摘要:The growth of the modern economy has always been associated with city living. The earliest stages of the Industrial Revolution saw the movement of rural dwellers to urban areas in search of work in factories, warehouses, and transportation. The process continues today, and in both advanced and developing economies, the proportion of the population living in cities continues to grow. Canada has been very much an example of this process. In 2020, more than 7 in 10 Canadians lived in communities with at least 100 000 residents.
