摘要:In this article, affection is assumed as a fundamental category for the field of journalism, crossed by the dogmas of reason and science. From then on, the dimension of “media testimony” is approached, examining the tension between the idea of “eyewitness” and other modes assumed in the contemporary, when witnessing is no longer just seeing and hearing but also starts to show the modes how we are challenged by a “testimonial text”. In order to investigate the chasm between experience and discourse, the “gap” in the testimony is approached, suggesting a new matrix guided by Brand's (2009) idea that the testimony, which has always been linked to the notions of truth and what it can capture from the event, is rather about what escapes from it. A news article on a specific tragedy guides the discussion. How does journalism testify to the fact.
