摘要:In this paper, a Fleet/Convoy Management System, based on the GeoNet architecture for Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is discussed and implemented. Fleet or convoy management is a special case of VANET, where nodes require communication to same type of other nodes as well as to backend server. Critical applications have been identified which are required for improving the load management and overall efficiency of such networks. The design is based on four major applications of location update, enabling vehicles to chat with each other using text and voice and providing emergency alarms through broadcast. The geographical locations of the nodes are continuously updated and displayed graphically on local dynamic maps. A test bed for the model has been developed, discussed and used for performance analysis.
