摘要:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the national exams, namely SEIE (Secondary Education Institutions Exam), LDE (Level Determination Exam), fBEtSE (from Basic Education to Secondary Education Transition Exam) and HSTE (High Schools Transition Exam) by Mathematics teachers. For this purpose, a structured interview form was applied to the Mathematics teachers by researchers and the findings were analysed. The study is a qualitative study and content analysis method was used to analyse the data. Convenient sampling method was preferred to select the participants. The sample consists of 15-mathematics teacher (8 female and 7 male) who have been working in various secondary schools that are located in a medium-populated city at the eastern region of Turkey. The results revealed that mathematics teachers have some positive and negative opinions about the exams, and they consider HSTE exam as more qualified than the other exams. Within the frame of the findings from the study, some suggestions were made about the transition to secondary education exams.
