摘要：Dyslexia is one of the most common types of Learning Disabilities, yet its brain basis and core causes are not yet fully understood and explored. This paper aims to review the research done in the field of Developmental Dyslexia. It attempts to summarize findings from various research studies that used widely varying technologies to establish the relationship between neurobiological dimensions of Dyslexia, including genetic, electrophysiological, neuroanatomical, and neuropsychological. Based on the evidence compiled, it seems probable that Dyslexia is a reflection of unconventional brain development and function. Until one tries to understand the aetiology and genetic basis of a disorder, it is not possible to apply appropriate and focused intervention techniques. Needless to say that these findings become important in increasing the functionality of individuals with Learning Disabilities.
