摘要：Objective: Mental health literacy research has not received ample attention from policy makers and researchers especially in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC). The present study aims to initiate an insight about role of mental health literacy research among youth, against the increasing burden of mental illness, through a bibliometric review. Methods: We used Scopus database to excerpt pertinent mental health literacy research among youth published from 1977 to 2019 across the globe. This study identified the key bibliometric components such as trend of publications and citations, top 10 countries, top 10 productive authors and top 10 institutions. Results: Total of 159 articles was retrieved from Scopus database by using advanced document search. A gradual growth in the number of publications was noticed from 1977 to 2019. Trend of citations showed declination. Developed countries have more focused on mental health literacy research among youth than the developing countries. Conclusion: When we consider the global burden of mental illness among the youth, the quantity and quality of mental health literacy research steered among youth across globe is unsatisfied. Greater attention from policymakers and researchers is required to address prevalence of mental illness, by offering adequate mental health literacy to the youth.
