摘要:RESEARCH and development is charged today with the responsibility of being in two places at once—at the frontier of future opportunities and on the doorstep of present problems. The challenge of supplying the needs of our operational forces, whether those needs are ten minutes or ten years away, is resulting in a new order of responsiveness on the part of the .Air Force Systems Command. The contributions of research and development to U.S. needs in Vietnam represent an “unlimited war” on limited war, a concerted effort within the Air Force to influence tactics by the use of technology.
