摘要:This article presents the educational experiences arising from the interface between Social Assistance and Education Policies, with the objective of mitigating the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the education of children and adolescents from the lower social classes. The problematic issue was the inequalities in the access to remote classes. The text is organized in three sections. The first discusses the main obstacles of remote education in the lives of children and adolescents in poverty. The second section points out quantitative data that prove the educational inequalities and empirical experiences that give life to the numbers. Finally, the third section presents the strategies used to guarantee access to education to those students who do not have access to the internet, adequate equipment, or support to perform their school tasks. As methodological path we used Holliday's (2006, 2018) guidelines on systematization of experiences. The conclusions point to the inefficiency of Brazilian public policies regarding the protection and guarantee of the rights to education. The detailing of the experience highlighted the power of interstory work, which was only possible through the mobilization of families and students in the fight for their rights.
