摘要:Also known as Kefiye, Ketfiye, Kufiye, Ketfiyye, Keffiyeh or Geziye, the origin of this type of fabric comes from Arabic. It is known that it was produced under the name of kefiye in Trabzon, Aleppo, Hatay, Bursa and Denizli in the past. This type of fabric is usually worn by men as a tulipant and used as a kind of symbol. Apart from this use, it is also known to be used by women as a covering or tied to the waist. These fabrics, which were woven only with silk in the past, have become an important part of the clothing culture. The aim of this course is to analyze the theoretical knowledge of kefi cloth and to bring the fabric structure information to the literature through the examples that can be accessed. Technical analyzes such as raw material, yarn number, yarn twisting direction, yarn shortening, yarn density, comb number of two samples belonging to the XX century were made and fabric identity information was presented as a table breakdown. The method of scanning and description was used in the research.
