  • 摘要:The present work describes the development of natural fiber based on composites consisting of kenaf fiber as reinforcement and epoxy as matrix material. The fibers are chemically treated in 5% NaOH solution at room temperature. Three different specimens were made by varying the length of the fiber 20, 30 and 40 mm at 10% wt. fiber loading using the hand lay-up method. The tensile strength, flexural strength and impact strength of the composite were investigated. Experimental results show that the tensile strength, flexural strength and impact strength had their maximum values at 30 mm fiber length composites.
