摘要：A teacher plays a significant role and contributes towards the nation building. Since ancient times, a teacher is considered as a person of great importance and is greatly respected by all in the societybecause a teacher is a selfless guide and an advisor. After gaining knowledge from his teacher,a student’s knowledge increases and makes him productive and creative which makes helps in the technological and economical development of the country. Many teachers like Dr.RadhaKrishan, APJ Abdulkalam have set such examples where their contributions have helped in nation building. They become the developers of a country’s culture. The current education policy NEP 2020 contributes singnificantly towards the new role of a teacher. The change in the education system brings change of mindset & output of the students. National Education Policy is a comprehensive framework to guide the development of education in the country. NEP Policy has been recently announced in 2020 which will directly create an effect learners in it at all ages.Education is not restricted for any religion, caste or sex. By expressing such thoughts Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and his wife Savitribai Phule started a school for girls’ education. As aresult today we have women who have achieved success and have played an important rolein the development of the country. Developing a country is a challenge accepted by the teachers because they know the importance of an educated youth in the progress of a country, hence theytrainthe youth and helpthem to become self disciplined and independent. The goal of every teacher is to develop thinking and questioning mind which proves to be a critical thinker of the nation working for its progress. We salute such teachers, who contribute by educating young citizens anddeveloping productive adults who become crucial for the development of a nation.
