摘要：Mumbai has one of the highest densities of the population due to which the suburban systems are always overcrowded. There are more people travelling on the train than each train can accommodate for journeys as little as 4 min. Mumbai being a small city has problems expanding the railway track laterally, thus the concept of an “Elevated rail corridor” which would utilize the space above the railway tracks has been proposed. This paper researches the difficulties faced by the commuters and then proposes the elevated corridor.
