摘要：This paper presents a guideline called 5S: Aged-Friendly Space for the Elderly that assists the provider and home owner in creating aged-friendly spaces for the older person. This is crucial to empower the older person to be independent and remain active role in community. In line with the sustainable development goal, the government has taken an initiative to offer accessible and supportive environment for the older person. Thus, 5S: Aged-Friendly Space for the Elderly guideline is proposed as an alternative to create an awareness among the developer, home owner and the government on the important criteria of aged-friendly spaces.
