摘要:This paper investigates the content knowledge competencies of 58 Arabic trainee teachers during their 14-week teaching practice. The competency aspect focused is the level of content knowledge in three areas of Arabic language-specific knowledge including grammatical knowledge/syntax, Arabic morphology, Balaghah and Adab Nusus. This study is a quantitative study which employs the descriptive research approach. Data collection was based on questionnaires which were then analyzed using SPSS statistical analysis. The findings showed that the Arabic language trainee teachers’ competency level in the field of Arabic morphology was good, but the knowledge of grammar and Balaghah/Adab Nusus was only at moderate level.
