摘要:Newcomers’ job satisfaction in the socialization literature is still scarce. Thus, the current study investigates the impact of three-factor model of organizational socialization tactics in predicting job satisfaction among engineers in Malaysia. Self-administered research questionnaires were distributed online, and the data were collected from 254 engineers in Malaysia. IBM SPSS version 24 was used to analyze Pearson’s Correlation and Multiple Regression. The results from Pearson’s Correlation reveals that the three factors of organizational socialization have significant relationship with job satisfaction. The standardized coefficient shows that content tactics have the greatest impact on the outcome variable. This is a cross-sectional study. Thus, it is recommended that future study can do a longitudinal study to examine the change of organizational socialization in different phases. Plus, gender plays a very important role as male and female react to socialization tactics differently. Thus, adding new evidence how female engineers adjust themselves in a male-dominated workplace.
