摘要:Objectives: the improvement of the coordination in schoolchildren with ADHD is very important because they usually have low levels of coordination. This paper focuses on studying the effects of a physical activity program on coordination of a group of schoolchildren with ADHD.Methods: this investigation involved 12 students (12 boys), aged between 7 and 12 years. The coordination was measured by Coordination Circuit and Tapping Test. The procedure was as follows: pre-test, intervention and post-test. The intervention consisted of 2 days per week of physical activity, 60 minutes per day, during 12 weeks. Results: in the pre-test, the schoolchildren had low levels of general dynamic and segmentary coordination. In the pos-test, it was observed significant improvements in coordination [both general dynamic (p = 0.001) and segmentary (p = 0.000)].Conclusions: the program used is effective to improve the coordination of children with ADHD.
