摘要:The objective of the present investigation is to know the prevalence of alcohol and tobacco consumption in a sample of university students in the city of Granada, as well as to analyze the relationship between the consumption of these substances and various socio-economic factors. A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out on a sample of 166 university students from the city of Granada, using an ad-hoc questionnaire to register sociodemographic variables. Tobacco use was measured using the Fagerström Test for Nicotine Dependence FTND) and alcohol consumption using the "Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT)" questionnaire. The main results obtained in the study indicate that the university students studied are mostly non-smokers, consuming half of them alcohol, highlights the direct relationship found between the consumption of both substances, due to the increase in consumption of one, increases The other, although it is not known that substance is precursor of the other. The results obtained in the present study show the need to continue investigating the consumption of harmful substances, because although its consumption is decreasing, it continues to represent a global health problem.
