摘要:Numerous studies have focused on investigating how the classroom factors could promote student motivation in order to get their involvement and academic success in the teaching-learning process. Specifically, the literature has identified teacher's behaviour as one of the most influential factors affecting student motivation. This study aimed at adapting the general educational context the subscales of democratic behaviour and autocratic behaviour of the Leadership Scale for Physical Education (Scale of Democratic Behaviour and Autocratic Behaviour in Spanish) and exploring its psychometric properties. The participants were 650 university students. The results showed good fit indexes for the two-factor correlated model, which was invariant across gender. Both factors were negatively correlated with a moderate magnitude. Appropriate internal consistency values were obtained for each subscale. In its conclusion, the Scale of Democratic Behaviour and Autocratic Behaviour showed as a valid and reliable instrument to measure the teacher's behaviour in the Spanish educational context.
