摘要：Since its birth in the 1960s, GIS has played an important role in the cognitive living space and social development of human society (Goodchild 2018). The development of GIS is accompanied by the progress of information technology. On one hand, the development of information technology promotes the progress of GIS. On the other hand, GIS also puts forward many requirements for information technology (such as: spatiotemporal big data collection, analysis, application, etc.). Nowadays, information technology has entered the era of big data, artificial intelligence, Internet of things, mobile computing and cloud computing. These revolutionary technologies provide new opportunities for GIS. GIS should actively embrace the new technology and explore the directions in GIS development under the new technology environment.
