摘要:In this study, we aimed to determine the influence of halal destination attributes (HDAs) on the behavioral intention of Muslim tourists and investigate the mediating effect of experience quality and satisfaction on the relationship between HDAs and the behavioral intention of Muslim tourists. The data were obtained through questionnaires distributed online to Muslim respondents who visited West Sumatra, Indonesia, in the past three years. A total of 200 valid questionnaires were selected for data analysis. The results showed that HDAs have a significant positive effect on experience quality and behavioral intention but showed a significant negative effect on destination satisfaction. Experience quality was found to have a significant positive effect on destination satisfaction but no significant effect on behavioral intention, and destination satisfaction had a significant positive effect on behavioral intention. The findings contribute to the theoretical development of halal tourism destinations and are expected to help halal destination marketers better understand the experiences and behaviors of Muslim tourists.
