摘要:In this study, it was aimed to determine the opinions of school psychological counselors about the problems faced by refugee students in the educational institution they work in, and solution suggestions for these problems. In this study, case study, one of the qualitative research methods, was used and the study was designed with a embedded single case design. The participant group of the research consists of 10 school psychological counselors working in official education institutions within the Ministry of National Education, located in the Odunpazarı and Tepebaşı district centers of Eskişehir. Participants were determined by snowball sampling method. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. After receiving expert opinions for the prepared interview questions, the interview form was given its final form. The interviews with the participant group were conducted online and lasted between 15-35 minutes. The data were analyzed by content analysis method. After coding the data, the themes of the coded data were written. In order to contribute to the validity of the research, direct quotations of the participant group were included in the findings section, and participant confirmation was carried out. In order to contribute to the reliability of the data analysis, two experts checked the consistency of the results with each other during the data analysis. In the study, it was concluded that refugee students have poor communication skills, insufficient ability to express and express themselves, and experience problems such as academic failure, social adaptation problems, inability to communicate with their environment, and difficulties in learning to read and write. In line with these results, suggestions were presented to school psychological counselors, classroom teachers and other employees involved in the process.
