摘要：This article used a literature review for data collection and theoretical foundation, whose tendency is the hypothetical-deductive in the analytical-synthetic logic, fitting into line two of research on the social function of law and interculturality, in the subarea of social rights and public policies . In addition, it counted on a field research with university students in the Law course of a community university in Brazil, by answering a questionnaire about Bullying in the university environment. The objective of the research was to characterize this type of violence within Brazilian universities and what are the implications within the national legislation, especially regarding Human Rights. This debate was necessary, as Bullying is a violence characterized and studied for a few years and does not receive effective combat in the country. Furthermore, there are many researches on this topic in schools, but in the university environment there is not so much scientific engagement, where bullying occurs with different characteristics from the school environment. That said, there is this hostility as an agent violating Human Rights, as it brings physical and psychological damage to victims, generating consequences in the Brazilian legal sphere. It was observed that the main forms of presentation of bullying at university are social isolation, name calling and storytelling, differentiating it from bullying at school where there is a higher rate of actual aggression. Therefore, measures to prevent and suppress this practice at the university must be different from those applied in schools.
