摘要：Highlights A comprehensive review of technology has been undertaken from biochar-based nitrogen fertilizers (BBNFs). Kinetics and mechanisms of the slow-release of N from BBNFs are revealed. BBNFs enhanced soil properties, N retention in soil and crop yield, and improved N use efficiency.
