摘要:In school education there are different types of methodologies that aim to achieve meaningful learning through successful teaching. It is noticed that nowadays, due to so many technological influences, the traditional method based simply on the imposing action of the teacher and the passive action of the student, in the action of memorizing content without critical reflection, has not been successful. On the other hand, active methodologies can point out ways to improve the quality of learning. This work aimed to verify the perception of public school teachers of basic education in a municipality in the region of Minas Gerais on the use and knowledge about active methodologies. The study was carried out through a descriptive quantitative research and data were collected through a questionnaire prepared by the authors based on the theoretical framework. Data were analyzed using statistical data analysis and the results were presented through graphs. Most teachers interviewed have similar opinions about the perception of the use of active methodology for learning. They considered that this type of methodology provides improvements in the teaching and learning processes and stated that they carried out studies to better understand the influences of active methodology on the educational process as a whole.
