摘要：Objective: to report the experience lived by scholarship holders about the extension actions of the League of Fundamental Nursing Bases. Methods: experience report from the beginning of the project, in March 2020, to the present day, adding knowledge about the fundamental bases in the care process to nursing students and health professionals, in order to contribute to professional practice, through of the project “Academic League of Nursing Fundamentals”, carried out at a public university in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Results: brings reflection and discussion of the role of fundamental bases, strengthening the practical and theoretical training of future nurses, ensuring more solid knowledge, autonomy in the nursing work process and quality of care in nursing. Final considerations: the extension project encourages the search for understanding the role of nurses in professional practice and affirms their duty in society, consolidating their professional autonomy and favoring practice, based on their own body of knowledge, focused on the integrality of the human being.
