摘要:This study aimed to evaluate the knowledge of pharmacists about Metabolic Syndrome (MS) and Pharmaceutical Care before and after participating in a training process for the implementation of clinical pharmacy in community pharmacies and to understand the perception of pharmacists about the teaching-learning process. This is a descriptive observational study with a quali-quatitative approach carried out with pharmacists working in primary health care. The data demonstrated an increase in the level of knowledge of pharmacists after training in clinical pharmacy with an emphasis on MS. The survey also registered an increase in the number of pharmacists with good and very good performance, the biggest increase was about the content on Pharmaceutical Care. These results were associated with the positive perception of pharmacists regarding the knowledge acquired on the topics studied and in relation to training moments. The study found that the educational process improved the knowledge of pharmacists about MS and pharmaceutical care. They also understood this process as essential for the development of clinical abilities. Additionally, the educational process was relevant to the continuous guarantee of knowledge of these professionals and their clinical role and which has the potential to favor the implementation of clinical services in community pharmacies in a public health system.
