摘要:The present study aimed to analyze adherence to treatment with antihypertensive drugs in elderly patients treated at the Três Barras do Paraná-PR Municipal Health Center. The methodology involved a descriptive cross-sectional study, which included 30 elderly hypertensive patients, of both genders, aged over 60 years. Data collection was performed through a semi-structured questionnaire in electronic format, self-administered, delivered via Messenger or WhatsApp for access through a link, generated through the Google Forms platform. The questionnaire was evaluated using the Morisky-Green Test. The results obtained in this study showed that no patient consumed alcoholic beverages and that only 3.3% of the patients were smokers and that 90% were in the habit of drinking coffee and/or tea. It was found during data analysis that 16.7% of patients use more than 8 different medications per day. Regarding the Morisky and Green scale, which measured the MAT, the results showed that 82.2% “never stopped taking the medication”, 83.3% “never interrupted the treatment”, 73.3% “never neglected with schedule". Taking into account the item “never”, an average of 78.3% adherence to treatment was obtained. It is concluded that both men and women have good adherence to drug treatment with antihypertensive drugs, on average 78.3%. In both sexes there were no adverse reactions, and all or part of the medications were obtained through the Municipal Health Center of Três Barras do Paraná-PR.
