摘要:Objective: To search for scientific evidences related to the aggravating pressure injuries caused by medical devices; Analyze through literature the relationship of medical devices to the emergence of PUs (pressure ulcers) and identify nursing care behaviors that contribute to the prevention of PUs. The need arose to deepen the analysis of this area of nursing, which has great relevance, seeking ways to improve nursing care in the care of critically ill patients. Methods: Integrative literature review performed in the Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online databases (MEDLARF), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LACHSL) and the Nursing Database (NDB), using the Virtual Health Library (VHL). Results: The 12 studies that made up this review were conducted from 2015 to 2020, where 1(8.3%) in 2016, 2(16.7%) in 2017, 1(8.3%) in 2018, 5(41.7%) in 2019, and 3(25.0%) in 2020. Regarding approach, 6(50.0%) were descriptive studies, 4(33.3%) descriptive exploratory, 1(8.3%) exploratory, and 1(8.3%) quasi-experimental. Conclusion: with the study that pressure ulcers related to medical devices is an event with high incidence and provided intensive care since, in critically ill patients, pressure ulcer prevention is a challenge due to the high risk of multiple comorbidities, increased use of medical devices among other related factors.
