摘要:Brazilian agriculture is a world reference in diversification, productivity, employment and development of sustainable technologies and practices. However, its image is also associated with negative environmental and social impacts, which has caused barriers to the sale of products. In the last two years, due to the new environmental policy adopted by the government that aims to soften the current environmental legislation, Brazilian agribusiness has become a central theme of discussions at the global level on the impacts generated by the agricultural market. Based on this, the study intends, by means of a literature review, to understand the historical process of corporate sustainability and the implications of its incorporation in the context of Brazilian agribusiness. Although the projections for the sector are of expansion and economic growth, it is understood as essential for national producers to act in line with the awareness of the consumer market regarding environmental preservation and despite the new environmental policy of easing the legislation, seek to combine production with Corporate sustainability.
