  • 摘要:Introduction: Adequate pain management in the newborn is essential for quality care. Nurses and nursing technicians must have a satisfactory understanding to assess and provide the correct pain relief, through non-pharmacological measures according to the needs of each baby. General Objective: To describe the strategies of nursing teams for the identification, evaluation and interventions of pain in newborns admitted to Intensive Care Units. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review research published in December 2020, where the data were analyzed in the Microsoft Excel 2010 Program and arranged in simple and percentage frequencies. Results: The final sample of this integrative review, after systematic reading and application of the inclusion criteria, resulted in a total of 19 articles, it is expected that the results of this research can support nursing in pain management in newborns admitted to a nursing unit. neonatal intensive care. Discussion: The management of pain in newborns, in a scientific and standardized way, must be a constant in the clinical practice of health care workers in intensive care, so that the assistance offered is of excellence, safe and humanized. Final Remarks: At the end of this work it was concluded that the nurse who works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit must have sufficient knowledge about the physiology, the psychological and cultural factors that can influence the pain of newborns in these units and especially the techniques evaluation and the therapy offered.
