摘要：This article is an excerpt from a doctoral research and aims to understand the daily lives of fathers and mothers of transsexual people assisted at the transvestite and transsexual outpatient clinic in Paraíba. The investigation is of a qualitative nature in which the action research method was used, the empirical material was produced through the implementation and realization of 11 Systemic Integrative Community Therapy circles in the Ambulatory for Transvestites and Transsexuals of Paraíba, using the technique of content analysis. Based on the analyzes carried out, society and its models of being in the world have been causing various sufferings in the fathers and mothers of transsexual people, among them, various concerns, fears, pain, violence and suffering, being present daily in the lives of fathers and mothers of transsexual people, confirming how society is unprepared to respect people and their gender diversities, not only directly affecting transsexual people, but also their families.
