  • 摘要:Objective: to identify, in the scientific literature, the use of simulation as a teaching-learning method by nursing in the area of child health. Methodology: integrative review, carried out in the PUBMED and Virtual Health Library databases, from 2010 to 2020, through combinations between the controlled and uncontrolled terms "simulation", "simulation training", "children", "nursing”, “nursing education”, with the Boolean operators “and” and “or”. Results: 13 studies with simulation of high and low fidelity in child care were included. The analyzed studies point to the effectiveness of the use of simulation in child care, as an active methodology in the teaching-learning and skills acquisition process, favoring the learning of both students and health professionals. Conclusion: the use of simulation for teaching nursing, specifically, in the area of child health, effectively contributes to professional qualification, level of knowledge, promotion of critical thinking, self-confidence and interpersonal communication.
