  • 摘要:The experiment was carried out in the Swine Sector of UFRPE/UAST. We used 27 swine, castrated males and females, from Pietrain-Duroc sows, in the finishing phase (71 to 90 kg). The experimental design was completely randomized, in a 3 x 3 factorial arrangement, in which 27 animals were randomly distributed in nine pens with three climate control systems and three light supplementation programs, considering three replications per treatment. The swine were weighed weekly and the rations and leftovers were weighed daily to evaluate the performance parameters: weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion. The comparison of the means of the performance parameters, when necessary, was performed by the Tukey test at 5% probability. No interaction was observed between light programs and air conditioning systems (P>0.05) for the variables: feed intake, weight gain and feed conversion. Photoperiods did not influence any of the variables studied. The HVAC systems did not influence (P>0.05) the feed conversion. However, the climatization systems influenced (P<0.05) the feed intake and weight gain variables. In pens without air conditioning, feed consumption was lower. In pens with evaporative cooling, feed consumption was higher than in pens with ventilation and in pens without air conditioning. It is concluded that the lighting programs did not improve the zootechnical performance of swine raised in the semiarid region and the air conditioning systems adopted increased weight gain and feed intake, but did not improve feed conversion.
