摘要：Infarction is a pathology that still affects millions of the population. The present study aimed to describe nursing care for patients diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction, as well as reporting nursing care for patients diagnosed with acute myocardial infarction and discussing the pathophysiology triggered by this pathology. Methodologically, it is a literature review in the narrative style with a search for articles published between 2007 and 2016, indexed in the databases, Recien, Reufpi, SciELO, Bireme, Lilacs, etc. As a result, nursing diagnoses support the analysis of direct and indirect responses to myocardial infarction. The nursing conduct for the infarcted patient requires training and technical competence for detection and immediate action in this situation. The conclusion of this study shows that nursing actions towards patients with AMI are indispensable, but that these actions are more effective when there is a joint action of multiprofessionals working in the promotion, prevention, interventions and assistance to avoid complications and aggravation of the disease. This study demonstrates the importance of nursing care in the face of this problem, as well as supporting new research in the academic area to strengthen and reflect on health professionals.
