摘要：Objective: Report the experience on the development of communication actions as a tool in the control of infection in health care. Method: Descriptive research type experience report originated from the elaboration of communication actions as a tool in the control of infection in health care in a unit linked to the Unified Health System in the municipality of Maricá. In the course of its implementation, the institution's employees were trained through periodic meetings, ending with the implementation of a platform with a view to improving this process, this activity took place in the first half of 2021. Result and discussion: The training applied, together with meetings and implementation of actions, they obtained a satisfactory result, since the training was enlightening for the professionals and through the meetings we were able to measure permanent and long-term improvements for the unit. Conclusion: It is noted how much the demand for valuing communication aligned in the control of hospital infections has reached levels that affect care improvements. And this process is only possible with the action of all, with commitment to improvements in the communication process.
