摘要:The aim was to identify implications on adolescents’ daily life with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis. This is a narrative literature review study, including national theses and dissertations. The data search was carried out in March 2021 throughout the Bank of Theses and Dissertations of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), searching for the words: adolescen* AND "renal failure", with 89 records, after application of inclusion and exclusion criteria, 7 scientific works were analyzed. It was found nursing predominated as the concentration area, then psychology, followed by public health. The studies’ main implications detected were the difficulties of adolescents undergoing hemodialysis treatment with their peers and social groups, difficulties in school routine, these adolescents’ dependency on their families and physical changes caused by the disease and treatment. It was concluded that it is necessary to seek strategies which might minimize the strain resulting from the treatment and disease, and the possible complications for adolescents’ life, such as, support groups and multidisciplinary monitoring, focusing at their well-being. The relevance of investments in studies adressed specifically at this audience is highlighted, since this phase is permeated by significant changes in adolescents’ life, who are still adapting to changes related to the demands of chronic kidney disease.
