摘要：Objective: To survey the epidemiological profile of HVL from 2012 to 2020 in the city of Caruaru-PE. Methodology: Data were obtained from the Information System for Notification and Diseases. After this step, the data received statistical treatment, where graphs and tables were constructed using the excel @2010 software, which was used to perform the calculations to give greater precision to the results obtained. Results: 43 cases of HVL were confirmed. The highest incidence occurred in 2015 with 2.6%, the area of residence with the highest frequency was urban with 63%, the most affected age group was 1 to 4 years old with 32.6% and race /brown color presented 69.8% of the cases. Regarding the evolution of patients with HVL, 79.1% was related to cure. Conclusion: In view of the analyzed data, it is necessary that HVL control actions are intensified, the identification of cases happens in a timely manner, as well as the diagnosis and patient care.
