  • 摘要:The present work is the result of a master's research of the Professional Master's Program in Professional and Technological Education of the Federal Institute of Alagoas (ProfEPT/IFAL). It sought to understand the relationship between education and the archive. At first, we highlight determinants that drive the relationship between archive and education, in an interdisciplinary way, we add dialogues with researchers from the school teaching of History, such as Flávia Caimi, Pereira Neto and Circe Bittencourt. Then, it presents the archives in a modern view, under the light of Archivology, the social function, space of action, concepts and characteristics are traced. Finally, there is the construction of a reflection on the archive as a non-formal space of education. As for the methodological procedure, bibliographic research and document analysis are used. For this, the Revista Acervo, from the National Archives and the electronic public archives websites are established as a source of data collection, being one institution at the federal level and two at the state level. It concludes that the study presented contributes to the construction of a more integrative dialogue between Archival Science and Education. It also drives transformations in these areas of knowledge.
