摘要：Gastritis is an inflammation of the mucosa that lines the inner walls of the stomach. This state of high prevalence worldwide and its current treatments still show indecisions regarding trust in long-term treatment. Faced with this problem, subaltern possibilities to drug therapy of gastrointestinal disorders, such as chronic gastritis and other inflammatory pathologies, are significant objects for research. Phytotherapeutic treatment, through medicinal plants, is a practice used by humanity since the beginning of time; in which the treatment of diseases takes place through herbs and/or plants with curative powers, which favor the improvement of the individual's health and well-being, reaching the point of developing a curative process. The article addresses evidence gathered in the literature that seeks to find the effectiveness of Aloe vera L. in the treatment of inflammatory dysfunction related to gastritis and gastrointestinal disorders.
