摘要：The objective was to identify the contributions of the Nurse to the patient with Alzheimer's Disease. The present study is an integrative literature review. For the search for data, the online research platforms, Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Spanish Bibliographic Index on Health Sciences (IBECS); Bibliographic Databases specialized in the area of Nursing (BDENF) through consultation of the Virtual Health Library (BVS); Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), accessed through the PubMed portal. A time frame was not adopted for this study. The Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS) “Alzheimer's Disease” were used; “Nursing Assistance”; "Treatment"; “Teaching in Health”. 655 studies were selected, and finally 09 articles were selected that met the research objectives to compose the study. Based on the results, 03 thematic categories were constructed: 1. Guidelines developed by nurses for caregivers and/or relatives of patients with Alzheimer's disease. 02. Nursing guidelines for patients with Alzheimer's disease. 3. Nurses' perceptions about the role of the family in caring for patients with Alzheimer's disease. It is concluded that it is extremely important that the role of the Nurse in the care of the patient with Alzheimer's Disease is well defined, so that the professional can perform his/her function efficiently and so that the patient does not miss any essential care in the treatment of this disease, and thus, occur efficiently.
