摘要:Pressure injury (PI) is comprehended as localized damage to the skin and/or underlying tissue, resulting from intense and/or prolonged pressure in combination with shear, being classified according to the damage caused to the tissue. The aim of this study was to evaluate the knowledge of nursing students about pressure injuries. The study had a quantitative, transversal and descriptive approach carried out in the undergraduate nursing course at a University in the West of Santa Catarina by applying a questionnaire. It was interviewed 54 undergraduates and it was observed that the ninth phase reached a percentage of 83.50% of correct answers. It is concluded from this study that the average number of correct answers by students reached 80.7%, and the item is considered to be known when the number of correct answers reaches 90% or more, verifying that the average percentage of correct answers in the comprehension test showed knowledge deficits related to the theme.
